A New Era of Wellness at The Stayton: Cooper Aerobics Partnership Brings Science-Backed Fitness to Fort Worth’s Premier Life Care Community

A Science-Backed Wellness Partnership Designed for Active Aging

The Stayton at Museum Way is launching a new wellness experience for residents through a collaboration with Cooper Wellness Strategies, part of the renowned Cooper Aerobics organization. This partnership brings more than five decades of research-based health expertise directly into The Stayton’s on-site fitness center — introducing a robust, resident-focused approach to active aging.

For residents of The Stayton, this means convenient access to professional guidance, thoughtfully designed fitness programming, and wellness initiatives rooted in evidence-based practice.

Tyler Cooper, MD, MPH, President and CEO of Cooper Aerobics, shared the vision for the collaboration:

“We are pleased to partner with Buckner Retirement Services on two of its seven retirement communities, bringing more than 55 years of research and science-based findings to The Stayton residents,” said Tyler Cooper, MD, MPH, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cooper Aerobics. “Our Cooper Wellness Strategies team is proud to provide programming for their residents, to encourage active aging and improve the quality and quantity of their lives.”

What Residents Can Expect: Personalized, Engaging Wellness Programs

Building on a Proven Partnership

The Stayton partnership expands Cooper Aerobics’ existing relationship with Buckner Retirement Services. Since 2019, Cooper has managed wellness programming at Ventana by Buckner, Dallas’s only Life Care community. The established success of the VentanaFIT model — grounded in up-to-date exercise science — sets the stage for a strong launch at The Stayton.

Ken Robbins, Senior Vice President of Buckner Retirement Services, noted:

“This collaboration brings together two groups who are dedicated to creating vibrant lifestyles for active adults. Our goal is to provide the best in holistic wellness for residents, and there’s no better provider to help make that happen than Cooper Aerobics.”

“Buckner is fully committed to the quality of life at The Stayton, investing in wellness and fitness programming with Cooper Aerobics, a new dining experience, and an aesthetic upgrade for the community for the first time since opening. These new, fresh partnerships demonstrate our commitment to our residents who call the community home.”

Why This Matters for Residents at The Stayton

As Fort Worth’s only high-rise Life Care community, The Stayton’s goal has always been to pair sophisticated living with meaningful well-being. This partnership strengthens that mission by offering residents:

  • Convenient access to nationally recognized wellness expertise
  • Programming tailored for longevity and quality of life
  • A consistent, research-driven approach to healthy living
  • Supportive guidance from trained fitness professionals

It is an investment in the everyday experience of residents — one that enhances independence, confidence, and overall vitality.
