When you become a resident of The Stayton, we’ll work with you to find the most effective approach to physical wellness for you. We’ll guide you to safe and enjoyable exercises that help you maintain your health, improve your overall wellness, and reach your personal fitness goals.

COOPER QUEST WELLNESS PROGRAM
Stayton residents can expect to receive exercise and lifestyle behavior coaching designed to improve the quality of each day with benefits that last a lifetime. This includes functional movement screenings, health assessments, and coaching sessions.
TECHNOGYM®
StaytonFIT includes equipment and personalized fitness programs to meet the unique needs of every resident. All participants begin their health journey with equipment orientation sessions and individualized fitness programs to ensure safety and ease of use.
WATER AND LAND GROUP FITNESS CLASSES
Along with Balance & Strength training, you can also enjoy activities such as aqua therapy in the sparkling indoor pool, indoor cardio exercises, or an outdoor 30-minute walk club (seasonal).
ON-DEMAND CLASSES
Residents have access to hundreds of on-demand fitness classes via the Wexer Virtual system available in the Group Fitness Studio or through any internet-enabled device with Cooper Aerobics On Demand.
HOW DO RESIDENTS GET STARTED?
As a resident of The Stayton, you’ll have access to a variety of tools to help you improve your health and wellness. You’ll meet with our Lifestyle, Wellness, and Culinary teams to learn how best to utilize these resources for your health and well-being.
As you become acclimated to community life, we encourage you to visit the fitness center and meet with a personal trainer who is available Monday through Friday. To start, we’ll ask you to participate in a Wellness Consultation. This includes completing a health care questionnaire to help us understand your goals, preferences, and any concerns you have regarding your overall wellness.
Next, you’ll participate in Cooper Quest & Balance Tests so we can learn about your current fitness and balance abilities to create a personalized program for you. (Don’t worry, there’s no homework involved!) You’ll complete a functional movement assessment, and we’ll collect information including body composition and blood work. Once this is complete, we’ll compare the results to your goals and find the best exercise regimen for you.
Cooper works hand in hand with The Stayton’s physical therapists to ensure residents are improving and maintaining their health. Our personalized, hands-on approach to fitness helps everyone customize their journey to physical wellness and find a program that suits their needs.
