We want to give you an update on the impact of COVID-19 in our community. We were notified late Monday, July 6th, and Tuesday, July 7th, that three team members tested positive for the virus. While a few team members have recovered, there are a total of five active team member cases of COVID-19, all of whom are self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team.
There are no new resident cases of the virus in our community. By way of recap, there are four resident cases of COVID-19, three residents are being cared for in the Plaza and one is being cared for in the hospital.
We understand that you have concerns about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure, and we have implemented heightened infection control measures in the Plaza. Team members are wearing personal protective equipment, including face shields and face masks approved for COVID-19.
Texas is currently experiencing a surge in the number of new COVID-19 infections, and it is important that you protect yourself and other individuals in your community. As a reminder, we encourage everyone to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments, practice social distancing, wear face masks or face coverings, and exercise proper hand hygiene. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact The Stayton management team.
