Coronavirus Update - 6.20.20
Update as of June 20, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. CST
We want to provide an update on the impact of COVID-19 in our community. We learned two Plaza residents tested positive for the virus and are being cared for in the hospital. By way of recap, we have three active resident cases of COVID-19, and all residents are being cared for in the hospital.
In addition, we have one remaining active case of COVID-19 among our team members. This team member continues to self-isolate at home with the support of our Human Resources team.
We understand that you have concerns about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community. Please know we continue in our commitment to protecting the health and safety of our residents and team members. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community. All residents in the Plaza are being placed under isolation procedures, team members are wearing both face shields and N95 masks, and our team is working with the appropriate authorities to obtain additional Plaza resident and team member testing.
Our team is conducting contact tracing for those individuals who have tested positive for the virus. If you are identified as having had prolonged contact with any individuals who test positive for COVID-19, you will be contacted and instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days, per the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Tarrant County Health Department and the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.
As a reminder, Lifespace and The Stayton are continuing to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We encourage everyone to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments, practice social distancing, wear face masks, and exercise proper hand hygiene. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact The Stayton management team.
The Texas Department of Health and Human Services offers additional information about COVID-19 in our state.
