Coronavirus Update - 11.7.20

Update as of November 7, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.

We want to provide an update on an exposure to COVID-19 within our community. We learned on Friday, November 6th, that one of our independent living residents tested positive for the virus. We also learned early this morning, Saturday, November 7th, one of our health center residents tested positive for the virus. By way of recap, there are five total resident cases of the virus; four are self-isolating in their homes, one is being cared for in the health center.

We are pleased to report that we have no active team member cases of the virus in our community at this time.

We understand that you have concerns and may have questions about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community. Please know we continue with our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members, and our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.

Lifespace and The Stayton continue to follow heightened infection control guidelines and we highly encourage residents to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments. Residents and team members are encouraged to practice social distancing and wear a mask or face covering when you interact with others in public settings. Proper hand hygiene including handwashing and the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer are essential to preventing the spread of the virus. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will provide regular updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.

We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact The Stayton management team.

Thank you.
